For those of you who could attend the Chapter’s Annual meeting on October 18th, you heard from the Strategic Planning Committee that the Chapter presented a new Strategic Plan.
The plan is available for you to see on the website. (perhaps link to it here)
The plan emphasizes the Chapter’s desire to develop and become a real agent for advocating on behalf of our members and looks to place a greater emphasis on communicating our value to employers and fellow professionals. We think that you see that clearly in every point of the plan through our desire to emphasize advocacy, education, community, and our future role in policy making. This should create a great way to attract additional members to the Board to work on these efforts and there will be many more ways to participate in the Chapter.
But all good strategic plans have solid objectives and we are looking to you our members to help contribute those planks. How do you want the Board to begin acting on these important mission statements. What kind of activities do you want to see executed on your behalf as a member. What kind of contributions do you want to make as a member?
Tell us what you think the chapter should adopt as objectives and goals in 2010 by adding your comments below.
We will also be circulating a survey soon, but don’t see the survey as a substitute for sharing directly with us.
Looking forward to all your ideas!
